SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

We aim to provide a welcoming, calm, and effective learning environment, in which each child can achieve his or her full potential. We foster kindness, courtesy and mutual respect. Through providing positive role models and through clear and fair behavioural structures we encourage responsibility and autonomy. We aim to provide children with meaningful learning tasks and a range of desirable outcomes. At the heart of its community, our school draws on strong local support and expertise to enrich our children’s experiences.

The Junior Secondary Stage

At Ikhwan college, we believe that high quality early years’ experience in school is of vital importance and can have a lasting effect on a student’s attitudes to education, personal and social skills and attainments.

First day at school for students are a mixture of all kinds of emotions. The school day and its demands can be quite daunting and at first, very tiring. Students and their parents/guardians are invited to spend some time with us in an informal way before admission. This gentle introduction is intended to make the student’s first day in school a little less daunting – and the parents’ first day at home less anxious! An induction meeting is held, for the parents/guardians of the new intake. This meeting

outlines the induction process and gives the parents a chance to meet staff and to find out anything they want to know about school in general and Ikhwan college, in particular. The meeting is led by either the Principal or Vice Principal and is usually lively and informal.
